Meet Erika Morgan.
Erika Morgan has been working on behalf of solar and the clean energy industry since well before there was an industry.
In 1975, she led tours of the first commercial building in the State of Maine to be heated 100% with solar and wood heat. In 1978, she founded the "Solar Information Service" within the Tennessee Valley Authority. Via pubic education campaigns, workshops and publications, SIS explained energy efficiency and renewables to consumers across the 7-state TVA region.
Since completing her Masters at the Yale School of Management, Erika has specialized in management of organizational transitions, start up and growth. Even as a senior manager in state government, she was never far from clean energy policy and implementation. Following five years in state service, she combined consulting with the creation and management of non-profits --again focused on "market transformation" to speed the clean energy industry.
Highlights of her career in clean energy policy and renewable energy development:
On the personal side, Erika moved to San Diego in 2011 and lives in Little Italy three blocks from the edge of San Diego Bay. She loves to travel and has been to Africa, South America, China, Europe and the UK. A former singer in college and church choirs, she cherishes the memory of performing his Second Sacred Mass with Duke Ellington.
