There are questions and issues to answer:
Is a  great community  energy & SDG&E  partnership  in the cards?
Will there be a fair transfer of generation assets from SDG&E?
Will  the Direct Access Market in San Diego expand removing
load certainty for any new public power agency or CCA?
What local generation resources  can be developed
to ensure a robust partnership between a Public Power Agency and SDG&E?
How can a robust partnership accelerate electrification of transportation and the marine environment?

In 2018 San Diego Energy District produced a comprehensive Energy Futures Academy program. SDED has the material, resources and know-how to stimulate best in class concepts and plans for the future of this region, scaleable to all regions capable of owning and managing their supplies of energy.

SDG&E PROFITS ARE AN ABUSE OF POWER.

In 2014 SDE&E posted a record $507 million in PROFITS, after taking a $119 million charge for the early retirement of the San Onofre nuclear power plant. And this is what we call a "Public Utility". At a time when schools, hospitals, businesses and homes are struggling with escalating energy costs, SDG&E puts ratepayers' hard earned money in their pockets. To put it in perspective to the tune of $24.25 million a month. San Diego public schools pay $20 million a year for energy at a time when they are struggling with budgets, and teacher salaries.
